As I was reading yesterday’s paper, I came across an article about a 10 year old boy named Alec Greven. He has recieved national fame due to the fact that he wrote a book called “How to talk to Girls” – (Purchase and/or read a few pages of the book on Amazon via this link: http://www.amazon.com/How-Talk-Girls-Alec-Greven/dp/0061709999) I was immediately fascinated that any adult would purchase this book. He’s on the bestsellers list at 10 years old, talking about WOMEN! But Alec said that he simply wrote the book by observing his classmates at Soaring Hawk Elementary School. I began to wonder if female-male interaction is any different in elementary school than it is in college. At one o’clock in the morning, I concluded that the answer is “no!” – I concluded this when I recieved several messages from my ex-boyfriend, who was mocking me; Making fun of me. Now, I must admit I found this to be fairly humorous being that he is a few years older than I but beyond that, he didn’t mock me to my face – He mocked me from his computer. I simply realized that:
1. He isn’t man enough to say anything to my face. Ladies, muscle mass can be decieving. Behind all those muscles usually lies a scared little girl.
2. Like a 2nd grader, he keeps poking at me waiting for me to react.
3. It’s true, boys will be mean to you if they like you.
It’s just so juvenile. Maybe as a farewell present, I will purchase Alec’s book – Who knows, maybe a guy who is 11 years older than him would actually be able to learn something from it ;)
& today I actually wore mens wear. I really didn’t care what I looked like today. I wore boyfriend jeans and a cropped Everlast t-shirt.
